A little while ago we had an idea – what if we bought in some apprentices to join us?
We thought about it and after a while we decided we would hire some.
That is exactly what we did.
So here we are, and now after they have been here a month and settled in a bit we decided to do a “meet the people” kind of exercise.
So here are our wonderful new apprentices.

What is something business owners have to deal with recruiting that you want to fix?
I wanted to fix to gap in not recruiting anyone without experience. I know some job roles you might need someone with previous experience but sometime why not try investing in someone new. I feel this particularly in certain industries because your grades and degrees mean nothing if you don’t have experience. The trouble in being that not a lot of companies do this. Overall, I think there should be of a wider range of apprenticeships of all kinds and entry level jobs. This won’t only allow people to start a new career that they always wanted but you’re seeing the not just their grades. This is another thing grades don’t determine people ability to impress and work to the best ability. If your someone like me who struggles to read, write, and concentrate. Your grades reflect this, and it is sometimes why you can’t get into the thing you want. To wrap this up I think employers should more open when recruiting.
What do you do at Morgan Jones?
I am a part of the marketing team. Marketing is like the grey part of the company where a lot of aspects of it shown to you. Its not just advertising to a consumer it is creating the journey you take the consumer on, the engagement on your social media, the internal marketing strategy to have all employees on board and enjoying their job, the business-to-business marketing to get other business involved, and so much more.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?
I have had some small amount of experience in marketing at the beginning of the year where I had taught myself about WordPress, Google analytics, and Semrush. This was at the beginning of a different apprenticeship with another company. Other than this I had no experience I just had a small interest in marketing but had a passion for change. In my work I always want to cause some form of change or a launch a talking point. In can do this in larger campaigns, it may be subtle but it still worth it. At the end of the day if I help one person, it is one person that got help.
What do you like about working at Morgan Jones?
I like working at Morgan Jones because it is a friendly and productive working environment. When I first started everyone was very warm and welcoming. I never really thought I would be saying this I now enjoy going to work. Two days are never quite the same in the office something is always going on and I’m always doing something that is different. Furthermore, when there is work to be done everyone is working but still have a chat here and there.
What’s your background?
I come from quite an unprivileged family. My mum and dad both suffer with learning disabilities and as well as some others too. I am more like a carer to my mum I clean the house, check her finances, and make sure the whole house is good really. It is really exhausting because I’m doing everything but it’s my mum so I do my best. I would say I have struggled with mental health in the past and still do now. A lot has happened in order to make me who I am but I won’t change it because I could be completely different.
What are the values that drive you?
Start at the bottom and work your way up.
I don’t really know which values drive. I think what does really drive me is giving myself and my future the lifestyles I wished I had. I want to be able to make the risk and knowing if it does come back it won’t affect me as much it would now. I also want to strive. In conclusion my life and what has happened to me pushes me to do better.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I’m not working I like to enjoy pageants. I currently have one lined up in 2 weeks and another in March next year. I also love horses and I did ride through out my childhood but now I rather be on stage showing off.
